当然の事ながらAS/400メニュー画面は英文です

Virtual400（http://www.virtual400.com/）に申し込んでいた、Developer Account( $17.95) 設定完了メールが本日15:29JSTに到着。実は、申し込み後なかなかアカウント設定完了メールが届かず、「もしかしてサービス運用停止中？」と心配になり始めていました。^_^;

とりあえず、MochaSoftの、TN5250 Terminal emulation for AS/400 accessと、TN3812 AS/400 Printer emulationを使って、リモート接続＆リモート印刷が出来る事を確認。

等々なんて内容で確実に日本語の利用は出来ないだろうけど、１ヶ月目は無料と言うことなので試用して様子を見てみることに。

昨晩登録フォームより申し込み完了、さてどれくらいの時間でアカウントが使えるようになるのかな？登録確認後に送られた自動返信メールには"Please click on the link below to confirm your email address. Your account will be created within 4 hours."なんてあったのだけど、今の所アカウント登録完了の案内なし。

意外と安かったです。

Yahoo!オークションで落札した AS/400(9406-600) が一昨日到着！各種設定をしつつ連続稼動させているけど、ハードウエア的な問題は発生する気配なし。出品者さんがAS/400を使い込んだ知識豊富な方（法人）だったのはラッキーでした（支払も、AS/400到着＆稼動検収後の支払いという好条件）。
